Apollos University is a for-profit university and headquartered in Great Falls, Montana is an American privately owned distance education university. The university offers accredited Doctoral, Master's, Bachelor's and Associate's degree programs in Business Administration, Management and Information Technology. Apollos University is an academic institution of higher learning and national accredited university by Distance Education Accreditation Commission (DEAC) in United States. Apollos University is also a member of SARA (State Authorization and Reciprocity Agreement) and approved to teach students in all 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia.

History
The university was founded in August 2004 as a non-profit university. However, it closed the non-profit corporation and reopened as a for-profit corporation in May, 2005. The new corporation was named Apollos University of California with a "doing business as" name of Apollos University. Formerly headquartered in Huntington Beach, California, Apollos University moved to Great Falls, Montana, on September 30, 2016.
Apollos University received its approval from the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education (BPPVE) in July 2005 and enrolled its first student in September 2005. The university held its first graduation ceremony in July 2007. Apollos applied for accreditation in 2010 and received accreditation status in January 2012 from Distance Education and Training Council (DETC). Now Apollos University is an accredited member of the Distance Education Accreditation Commission (DEAC). The university is currently not regionally accredited.
Apollos University closed its office in California and moved to Great Falls, Montana on September 30, 2016. Apollos University is incorporated and approved as a private institution by the State of Montana. Apollos University developed global staff and faculty for global education. The university has students located in four different continents: North America, Africa, Asia and Europe. It has divisions in Business and Organizational Management.

Academic Programs
The United States Department of Education requires that any institution offering distance education programs to students outside of its home state must acquire authorization from the states in which students reside. Regulations vary from state to state. Apollos University is approved by The State of Montana to participate in the National Council for State Authorization and Reciprocity Agreements. NC-SARA is a voluntary, regional approach to state oversight of post secondary distance education. As a participating institution, Apollos University may offer online programming to students in other SARA member states without seeking authorization in that state. Ranking
Apollos University received a significant nod toward the quality of its education programs when its Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) Program was ranked 23rd on the list of Top 50 Online Doctoral Degrees in Business and Management. The Top 50 list was based on the following criteria: accreditation, flexibility, prestige, estimated cost, and business management curriculum with each criteria carrying equal weight in the overall ranking. Apollos University also ranked Top 20 Online Doctor of Business Administration, 20 Best Online School for Doctorate in Business Administration, and 17 Best Universities, Schools and Colleges in South Carolina.
